Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme(HKPF) 2022/23

Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme is a prestigious scholarship established in 2009 by a research grant with the aim of attracting the best students around the globe to further their PhD studies in eight universities in Hong Kong.

The scholarship scheme will enable PhD fellows to have access to world-class experience in the area of research and other academic programs

Eligibility

Prospective candidates are advised to select amongst the under listed eighth universities regardless of their country of origin, ethnic background or prior work experience.

Candidates with the under listed following skills are highly advised to apply.

Duration of program Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme(HKPF) 2022/23

The duration of the program is three (3) years

300 candidates will be awarded the scholarship

Benefits

Annual stipend of HK$322,800

A conference research allowance of HK$13,500 per annum

Additional support may be provided to awardees who need more than three years to complete their program. Candidates are advised to contact the universities for details

How to apply for the PhD fellowship scheme(HKPF) 2022/23

 Candidates are to apply online through Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme electronic system (HKPFSES) to obtain HKPFS reference number on or before December 1^st December 2021

Applicants are free to select up to two programs at one or two universities

Candidates are advised to comply with the various university admission requirements of the universities selected for their programs

Early application is highly recommended.
