WIFLE scholarship programme

WIFLE scholarship program is an organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for women interested in the law enforcement field and ensuring that women are adequately represented in all areas of federal law enforcement. They offer scholarships annually to individuals who meet their criteria -With the increasing number of women in law enforcement and more and more opportunities opening up to them, it is becoming increasingly difficult for these women to find the funds they need to further their education.

Luckily, WIFLE has decided to step in and offer scholarships to these talented individuals with a career in law enforcement! The application period for the WIFLE scholarship is usually open from February 15 through May 3 each year. To apply, email the Scholarship Coordinator your completed application form with an essay by that date. Applications received after that deadline or that are incomplete will not be considered.

What Is WIFLE?

WIFLE is a nonprofit organization that provides a combination of both opportunities and resources to women who are interested in a career in law enforcement. The scholarship provides funds for tuition and books. Who is eligible to apply? Applicants must be women of legal age who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. The applicant must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed the equivalent of one year of college. What is the application required? The scholarship application requires a 250-word essay explaining why the applicant wants to pursue a career in law enforcement. What are the application deadlines and requirements? Applicants must submit an application by May 3, 2022. The scholarship provides funds for tuition and books.

Eligibility Requirements for WIFLE scholarship program

  • Must be from the United States of America
  • Must be female.
  • Must have volunteered or interned in law enforcement with a local, county, state, or federal agency.
  • Must have an interest in becoming a peace officer with a local, county or state,
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Must have completed one academic session in one accredited college or university.
  • Must maintain CGPA of 3.0
  • Must be a citizen of the United States of America studying a four-year program in the field of criminal justice or other disciplines like social sciences, computer science, finance, linguistic arts, chemistry, physics etc
  • Must state their career objectives and also write a letter showing they are in need of financial help
  • Must get a recommendation letter from a leader in law enforcement or from members of the local communities.

WIFLE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting women in law enforcement and criminal justice. They provide scholarships for high school and college-aged students who are committed to pursuing a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. WIFLE scholarships support educational expenses such as tuition, books, uniforms, supplies, and personal protective equipment.

The amount given to the beneficiaries varies. In 2020, the beneficiaries received the sum of $10,000 which may be renewable on the next application.

Application Process

WIFLE scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and demonstrated need for financial support. The following documents are to be sent via email.

  • Recommendation letters
  • A well-drafted essay containing 500 words
  • Academic transcript
  • The beneficiaries of the scholarship will be contacted on May 17 and the award sent directly to the educational institution by email.

WIFLE Offers Scholarship Opportunities to Women Considering a Career in Law Enforcement. To be considered for a WIFLE scholarship, applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Resume/CV
  • Letters of recommendation from law enforcement professionals – Transcripts – Copies of high school and college transcripts.

WIFLE scholarship application deadline

The call for application for WIFLE Scholarship starts on February 15th each year.  While the deadline is May 3 of each year.
